Matt Dooley

Matt currently works at the University of Virginia as the Limited Submissions Coordinator in the Office of the Vice President for Research. He locates, announces, and tracks all limited submissions funding and award opportunities. Prior to this role he worked at the University of Virginia Children’s Hospital supporting the pediatric inpatient team, newborn nursery, and child abuse and advocacy team.  Before coming to UVA, Matt served on active duty in the U.S. Navy in various assignments including onboard nuclear submarines and on various executive staffs.  Matt holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management, a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership, and an MBA.  On August 1, 2024, Matt began his three-year term as a Senator for Research on the UVA Staff Senate.
