Sharon A. J. Imes

Sharon A. J. Imes, DTM is the 2025-2026 Program Quality Director-Elect for District 13 Toastmasters, which encompasses parts of Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, and Western Maryland. She is the lead Sponsor and Charter President of Western Maryland Toastmasters Club, chartered in May 2024.  Additionally, she is the sponsor and current President of Laurel Highlands Toastmasters Club in Connellsville, PA – established in 2021. She founded SAJ Consulting Services, and Breakthrough Leadership Institute International, and has consulted on multi-billion-dollar, international mergers and acquisitions, and training programs. She is a Coach, Trainer of Trainers, and Professional Speaker.

Before relocating to the Frostburg area after marrying her husband Gary, she was the Downtown Connellsville, PA Business Liaison, consulting with all businesses in the downtown area regarding growth and expansion. Sharon worked for most of her career on Wall Street in New York City and is a former Operations Manager of the Structured Finance Group at Standard and Poor's, a group consisting of over 500 employees at that time.

Sharon is a graduate of New York University and holds certificates from Dale Carnegie Courses in Human Relations and Effective Speaking and in Training Trainers and Acting and Modeling. She has been a Toastmaster for over 20 years and won the District 13 Toastmasters International Speech Contest 2022. Sharon credits Toastmasters for helping her overcome a devastating speech impediment to become a proficient speaker and leader. She considers Toastmasters her secret weapon for learning, leading, growing, and speaking with confidence.
