PILATES

Join us for a beginner-to-intermediate Pilates class is designed to strengthen your core, improve flexibility, and enhance overall body awareness. This class blends foundational Pilates movements with accessible challenges, incorporating small props like Pilates rings, balls, hand weights, and resistance bands for variety and progressions.

Whether you are new to Pilates or looking to refine your practice, this session offers a supportive environment to connect with your body and build strength at your own pace. Come prepared to move, stretch, and leave feeling refreshed and balanced!


PARTICIPANTS MUST PROVIDE THEIR OWN MAT. A PILATES MAT IS RECOMMENDED.
Space is limited to 15 students.

BODY BARRE

Session Fee: $75

A recorded session will be available to participants who may need to
miss a class.

A hybrid toning class working with combining moves from ballet,
pilates and yoga. This class uses high reps and low impact, small
range movements to challenge your muscles in ways typical classes
don't. No shoes required!


PARTICIPANTS MUST PROVIDE THEIR OWN MAT AND 2 / 3 LB WEIGHTS IF DESIRED.

 The class is limited to 15 participants.

HATHA FLOW YOGA

Instructor: Kelly Bubp

Wednesdays, 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m., Cordts PE Center Room 104

September 10 - October 15

    Session Fee: $75

Through combining Hatha and flow, we find strength in poses while maintaining our rhythm and breath connection. We will take time exploring the alignment of poses while building power, balance, and flexibility. Additionally, by synchronizing our breath and movement in slow flow, we create calm within ourselves. My goal is for us to leave each class feeling peaceful and strong. This is an open level class - everyone is welcome and belongs here!! Participants must provide their own mat and a bath towel or throw blanket. Space is limited to 15 students.

YIN YOGA

Instructor: Kelly Bubp

Thursdays, 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m., Cordts PE Center Room 104

September 11 - October 16

    Session Fee: $75

Yin yoga comes from the concept of "Yin and Yang that focuses on the balance between opposing forces, such as light and dark. In yoga, Yang is reflective of activity, while Yin is reflective of stillness. In Yin yoga, we release our muscles and rely on gravity and our body weight to hold floor-based poses for long periods of time (3-5 minutes). this allows us to target our joints and connective tissues as opposed to our muscles. In Yin yoga, we recognize that all bodies are anatomically unique and use props to personalize each pose. Join us for a yoga experience that will help balance your hectic life and allow you to focus on tranquility in your breath, body, and mind.

This is an open-level class - everyone is welcome and belongs here!!

To ensure you have the proper support for this class, you MUST BRING TWO BATH TOWELS, a FIRM or EXTRA FIRM PILLOW, and a YOGA MAT with you to EVERY CLASS. Additional props will be provided.

Space is limited to 13 students.

ZUMBA

With easy to follow moves set to upbeat Latin and international music, Zumba is a total workout for body and mind. No dance experience needed, and all fitness levels welcome! Come for the workout, stay for the fun, and leave feeling amazing Your instructor, Dr. Hang Deng-Luzader, Is a physics professor at FSU with a love of physical activity, especially dancing. Licensed to teach both Zumba and Zumba Gold, she's passionate about sharing the joy of Zumba with everyone.Let's move, sweat, and have fun together! As Newton says in his first law of motion: Once you start moving, you'll happily keep on moving. See you on the dance floor!

Please bring clean, dry athletic shoes to wear in the dance studio.
