TV Programming & Outreach Assistant
What You'll Do:
Help schedule and plan shows airing on FSU-TV3! You'll also research new programming ideas and help promote the channel through events and student outreach.Skills Needed:
- Organized and reliable
- Microsoft Office knowledge
- Willingness to learn the scheduling software
- Strong communication and people skills
Creative Design Specialist
What You'll Do:
Create eye-catching graphics for FSU-TV3's message board for FSU-TV3 and social media. You'll design flyers, posters, logos and digital content that promote local events and non-profits.Skills Needed:
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc...)
- Canva knowledge is a plus
- Creative thinker with an eye for design
- Ability to meet deadlines and communicate ideas effectively
Video Post-Production Assistant
What You'll Do:
Edit video content for events and student programming using tools like Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Canva. You'll also help with closed captioning and ensure all content follows FCC guidelines.Skills Needed:
- Completed EMME 205 or equivalent
- Adobe Premiere proficiency
- Experience with After Effects or Canva is a bonus
- Time management and a willingness to learn new editing tools
Digital Media and Social Strategy Specialist
What You'll Do:
Lead the charge in boosting our digital presence! You'll create and assist with posting content across social platforms for FSU-TV3 and help the Emerging Media program. Collaborate on campaigns, optimize performance and analyze engagement trends.Skills Needed:
- Creative mindset
- Strong writing and visual content skills
- Knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, X, TikTok, etc.)
- Team player with strong communication skills
Visual Content Creator (Photo/Video)
What You'll Do:
Capture the sprit of Frostburg by photographing and filming events for our social media and website. You'll ensure content is delivered and properly released, and you might help with transcribing footage when needed.Skill Needed:
- Completed EMME 205 or equivalent
- Comfortable with cameras and filming equipment
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends
- Good communication and organizational skills
Content Transcription Assistant
What You'll Do:
Turn spoken work into written content! You'll transcribe programming to be aired on FSU-TV3 to make it accessible on TV and digital platforms.Skills Needed:
- Strong typing and grammar skills
- Microsoft Word knowledge
- Willingness to learn transcription and captioning software
- Detail-focused
Production Equipment Assistant
What You'll Do:
As the equipment assistant in the Equipment Room you will support Emerging Media students by checking in and out for class and FSU-TV3 productions. Help keep our gear organized and up to date by assisting with equipment inventory.Skills Needed:
- Attention to detail
- Strong time management skills
- Reliable and punctual
- Friendly and helpful demeanor
