Latisha Cooper, learning specialist of Programs Advancing Student Success at Frostburg State University, was honored with the Outstanding Student Organization Advisor Award at the 2018-2019 FSU Leadership Awards Reception.

Cooper, advisor to FSU’s chapter of Delta Zeta national sorority, is described as going above and beyond her job as an advisor. As the advisor, she gives valuable advice and helps students build confidence and believe in their abilities.

In a presentation by Amy Shimko, FSU director of Student Development, Cooper was described as encouraging students to step out of their comfort zones and showing them that they can succeed and thrive, no matter the challenge. She is always willing to take time to help students and members of Delta Zeta focus on fulfilling the five pillars of Greek Life: leadership, social bonds, scholarship, service and sisterhood.
