On Wednesday, Dec. 11, a celebratory luncheon was held for the second cohort of graduates of the ADAPT (Administrative Development and Professional Training) program at FSU. The 9-month program provides professional development opportunities to administrative professionals across campus and aims to enhance skills that support employee development and FSU’s strategic plan.
The Class of 2024 ADAPT graduates included Amanda Bucy, Linda Campbell, Raegan Hawk ‘98, Jessica Lowery and Tara LaRue-Craze ‘22. Also in attendance at the celebration were the graduates’ supervisors and other administrative staff.
Donnell VanSkiver, ADAPT Program Coordinator and Executive Administrative Assistant to the President said, “We are proud to welcome this second group of graduates and celebrate their success! They’ve worked incredibly hard and it has been an honor to share in their growth journey.”
FSU has developed a specialized curriculum for its community of administrative professionals. The program showcases robust content featuring valuable, trending topics addressing challenges most relevant to administrative professionals that include such things as effective communication, service excellence, leadership principles, confidence building, understanding budgets and more.
Any employee in an administrative professional role at FSU is eligible to participate in ADAPT. Applications for the 2025 cohort are currently being accepted until Jan. 24.
