Conflict of Interest

At Frostburg State University, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity, ethical conduct and accountability. A conflict of interest arises when personal, financial or professional considerations have the potential to compromise – or appear to compromise – an individual’s judgment, objectivity or responsibilities. It is important to identify, disclose and appropriately manage conflicts of interest to ensure that our teaching, research, service and administrative activities are conducted with transparency and fairness and are in alignment with our institutional mission.

Please note that all federally funded research requires a Conflict-of-Interest Form. Several funding agencies have more specific requirements, including the National Science Foundation (NSF) and Public Health Service (PHS) entities like the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Please contact the Office of Sponsored Programs osp@frostburg.edu to receive a link to complete and submit your online COI Form via the Kuali Platform. Upon submission, it will be routed for review and approval.
