Block Party - Main Street

Connect with the Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation at the Main Street Block Party. CEI will join the Frostburg community to share upcoming programs and opportunities while celebrating the people, businesses, and organizations that make our region thrive.

Faculty Innovation Summit

Date: September 10, 2026 | 3:00–5:00 PM Location: EHS 209, Frostburg State University

The Faculty Innovation Summit brings FSU faculty together to exchange ideas, build interdisciplinary connections, and explore opportunities for innovation and entrepreneurship. The event encourages collaboration and helps turn promising ideas into meaningful initiatives and partnerships.

Bobcat Innovation Launch Pad

Date: September 12–13, 2026 Location: Frostburg State University

An interdisciplinary, hackathon-style experience that challenges students to identify regional needs and develop bold, practical solutions for Western Maryland. Students collaborate in teams to develop ideas, create prototypes, and present solutions to a panel of judges.

Children’s Business Fair

Date: September 19, 2026 | 10:00 AM–1:00 PM Location: Frostburg State University

Gives young entrepreneurs the opportunity to turn their ideas into real-world business experiences. Participants will create, launch, and showcase their own businesses while developing creativity, confidence, problem-solving skills, and an entrepreneurial mindset.

ARISE Symposium

Date: October 1–2, 2026 Location: CCIT 397, Frostburg State University

Brings together faculty, researchers, innovators, and industry partners to explore moving research from the lab to the marketplace. Highlights key areas like tech transfer, IP, market validation, and licensing. Features a technology-transfer professional from UT Permian Basin.

TEDCO’s 12th Entrepreneur Expo

Date: Tuesday, October 27, 2026 Location: Hilton Baltimore Inner Harbor, Baltimore, MD

A statewide gathering of Maryland’s entrepreneurs, innovators, and ecosystem leaders. Features workshops, roundtables, live pitches, and an exhibitor showcase designed to connect attendees with resources to start, grow, and scale companies.
