The Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation (CEI) connects students, faculty, entrepreneurs, and community partners through programs and events designed to inspire ideas, foster collaboration, and strengthen innovation across our region.
Bobcat Innovation Launchpad: 24-Hour Ecosystem Challenge
The Bobcat Innovation Launchpad brought together 51 participants, including students, staff, subject matter experts, and judges, for a 24-hour, team-based innovation experience focused on the theme “Healthy Ecosystem.” Students collaborated to identify challenges, develop creative solutions, and refine their ideas with guidance from mentors and experts. The event concluded with team presentations to a panel of judges, with three winning teams receiving awards of $2,500 for first place, $1,000 for second place, and $1,000 for third place.
Regional Young Entrepreneurs Business Showcase & Fair
The Young Entrepreneurs Fair welcomed 17 young entrepreneurs and their families for a fun, hands-on introduction to entrepreneurship. Participants showcased their businesses, shared their products and ideas with the community, and gained real-world experience in sales, customer engagement, and communication. The event provided a supportive environment for young people to learn, create, build confidence, and have fun while exploring entrepreneurship.
TEDCO’s 12th Annual Statewide Entrepreneur Expo
A statewide gathering of Maryland’s entrepreneurs, innovators, and ecosystem leaders. Features workshops, roundtables, live pitches, and an exhibitor showcase designed to connect attendees with resources to start, grow, and scale companies.
