A Black History Month Program
On the final day of Black History Month, Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion highlights ways to continue to educate peers on Black history outside of just Black History Month. There will be a display of affinity groups and student organizations that are known to be safe spaces for Black students on campus. Motivational speaker, Jordan Green-Ellis, will also hold a discussion with students about financial literacy and stability, student leadership, life after graduation and his story as a Black graduate in America and how his life changed after leaving college. All participating students will have the opportunity to be in a drawing for a scholarship.
