SR Education Group Lists FSU’s Online Master’s in Computer Science Among Most Affordable in the Country

SR Education Group, an education publisher, recently ranked Frostburg State University’s online master’s in computer science among the top 23 most affordable online computer science master’s degrees in the nation for 2017.

The degree is offered in person and online.

In its description of FSU’s online master’s in computer science, SR Education Group noted the University offers five masters degrees: Master of Science – Applied Computer Science and Master of Science – Applied Computer Science with a specialization in data mining, data warehousing, database specialization or generalized computer science. Sample classes include Advanced Object-Oriented Data Structures and File Organization, Advanced Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Security in Computing, Theory of Computation, and Web Development and Programming.

The methodology for the rankings for its 2017 Most Affordable Online Master’s Degrees considered online degree offerings and annual tuition rates. To develop the lists, the company researched accredited colleges offering online degrees across 29 programs. Schools were required to offer at least one fully online degree at the master’s level within the subject of the ranking.

FSU is a public, nonprofit institution accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. Annual tuition is estimated at $18,864 per year and the acceptance rate is 63 percent.
