Each activity area has specific COVID-19 capacities and regulations in place for the safety of all users. Those regulations are listed under each activity area below. All users must complete their daily symptom monitoring check-in and present their FSU COVID-19 low-risk badge prior to using the facility.

Those using the fitness center, swimming pool, and climbing wall must also undergo a temperature check prior to using those areas. Users with a temperature of 100.4 or higher and/or those unable to present a low-risk COVID-19 badge will not be permitted to use the facility on that day. All users must adhere to the regulations set for each activity area. Use of the activity areas is limited to FSU students, faculty, and staff only.

FSU Fitness Center

(Maximum capacity: 16; 8 users in the Platform room/8 users in the DB & Machine rooms)

Hours of operation:

Monday–Thursday, 3–10 p.m.
Friday, 3–8 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday, 12–8 p.m.

Hours may vary weekly. The changes will be noted through the scheduling link.

  • Users must schedule a training time through the scheduling link at https://signup.com/go/bLaBMXH.
  • Users will be limited to 1 time slot per day in order to help accommodate all members of the University. Walk-ups will be accepted for any time slots with no shows.
  • Each session will be limited to 55 minutes, with the remaining 5 minutes designated for users and fitness center staff to clean-up and sanitize all workstations.
  • Everyone must show their COVID check-in badge and have their temperature checked by the desk clerk at check in before entering the fitness center.
  • The Fitness Center is a masked area. All Everyone/staff must correctly wear a mask at all times.
  • All equipment must be sanitized immediately after final use.
  • All users must respect each other’s workspace and maintain a 6-foot social distance within the facility.
  • The cardio room will remain closed until further notice. Those who would like to utilize cardio equipment are encouraged to visit the Lane Fitness Center. 

CLIMBING WALL

(Maximum capacity: 3 climbers)

Hours of operation:

Monday & Wednesday: 4–9 p.m.
Tuesday & Thursday, 3–8 p.m.
Friday, 2– 8 p.m.
Sunday, 1–5 p.m.
  • Everyone must show their COVID check-in badge and have their temperature checked by the desk clerk before entering the climbing gym.
  • This is a masked area. All Everyone/staff must correctly wear a mask at all times.
  • Everyone and staff must sanitize their hands upon entering and exit of climbing wall.
  • A daily signup sheet will be available each morning. Everyone will be permitted to signup for one 45-minute slot. If a time slot is not filled, users will be able to signup upon arrival.
  • Everyone must maintain a 6-foot social distance.

SWIMMING POOL

(Maximum capacity: 27)

Faculty/Staff Only Hours: 
Monday–Friday, 12-1:30 p.m. 

Open Swim Hours (FSU students, faculty & staff):

Monday & Wednesday, 10:30 a.m.–Noon and 7–8:30 p.m.
Tuesday & Thursday, 7:30–8:30 p.m.
Friday, 6:30–8 p.m.
Sunday, 1–5 p.m.

  • Everyone will be permitted to swim for a maximum of one hour at any one time.
  • Everyone must present their COVID check-in badge to the lifeguard and have their temperature checked before using the pool.
  • Everyone should wear facemasks or face-coverings to and from the pool, and while on the pool deck when not in the water.
  • Follow directions for spacing and stay at least 6 feet apart from others.
  • Do not make physical contact with others, such as shaking hands or giving a high five.
  • No sharing of equipment. We will not provide equipment.
  • Maintain appropriate social distancing from other users when taking a break.
  • Wear your suit to and from the pool. Everyone should shower and change at home.
  • Everyone will be encouraged to leave the facility as soon as reasonably possible after swimming. No congregating in locker rooms or hallways.

RACQUETBALL COURTS

(Maximum capacity: 4)

  • Racquetball courts are for racquetball play only.
  • Participants must provide their own equipment and should refrain from sharing equipment.
  • A daily signup sheet will be available each morning. Everyone will be permitted to sign up for one 45- minute slot.
  • The racquetball courts will remain locked when not in use for racquetball. The equipment manager will unlock for use prior to 3 p.m. and the building manager will unlock for use weekdays after 3 p.m.
  • Participants must correctly wear a mask except during game time.

ROOM 168, BASEBALL GYM 

  • The baseball gym will only be used for academic classes, scheduled athletic practice, and supervised Activities for Life/Intramural classes and activities only.
  • This space is not available for pickup games, wall ball, etc.
  • This space will be locked at 3 p.m. and should be locked and unlocked only for the scheduled practice/class time.

DANCE STUDIO

(Maximum Capacity: 20)

  • The dance studio will be locked for general use.
  • The dance studio will be used only for academic classes and supervised Activities for Life classes.
  • Everyone must hand-sanitize before entering this space.
  • Everyone must wear a mask in this space when not dancing and when choreography does not allow for dancers to consistently maintain 6-foot social distance.
  • Food and drink are not permitted
  • The group leader will be responsible for making sure these policies are followed.

ROOM 164, PRACTICE GYM

(Maximum Capacity: 16)

  • Everyone must hand sanitize upon entering and exiting this space.
  • The practice gym will be closed for pickup basketball games this semester.
  • This space will be available at specified times to allow for basketball shoot around ONLY.
  • No more than 4 Everyone per basket with a total of 16 Everyone in this space at any one time.
  • Basketball games are not permitted in this space.
  • Everyone must wear a mask at all times.
  • All users must maintain 6-foot social distancing.
  • Everyone should not share basketballs or other equipment.

MAIN ARENA

(Maximum Capacity: 40)

  • Everyone must sanitize their hands upon entering and exiting this space.
  • FULL-COURT GAMES ARE PROHIBITED.
  • The Main Arena may be used for 3 vs 3 basketball with no more than 6 Everyone shooting per basket at any one time. Four additional Everyone may be on stand-by per basket only during specified times. 
  • Those waiting to play the next game/rotate in MUST social distance along the side of the court and wear a mask while waiting.
  • A mask must be worn at all times except during actual 3 vs 3 game time. Everyone must immediately put on a mask at the conclusion of each game.
  • This space is not available for soccer and other pickup games.
  • This space will not be open for use outside of specified times.
  • Anyone not complying with the polices set for this space will be asked to leave.

INTRAMURAL SPORTS

FSU students, faculty and staff interested in Intramural Sports will have the opportunity to participate in the following: Cornhole, Racquetball, Spikeball, and Wallyball. Additional intramural sports will be added as the semester progresses. All intramural sport participants must present their FSU COVID-19 low-risk badge and undergo a temperature check daily prior to participating. Those with a temperature of 100.4 or higher and/or those unable to present a low risk COVID-19 badge will not be permitted to participate on that day. FSU students, faculty and staff may sign-up for intramural sports using their FSU e-mail address.

CLUB SPORTS

Club sports will not be held during the spring 2021 semester.
