How long have you worked at FSU?
6 years
What 3 words can you use to describe FSU?
Welcoming. Scenic. Supportive.
List any professional or personal accomplishments we can celebrate with you.
One accomplishment I’m especially proud of is earning the rank of Eagle Scout, which taught me the value of leadership, service, and perseverance. I was also honored to be inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma, an international business honor society recognizing academic excellence, while completing my undergraduate degree. Most recently, I completed Frostburg State University’s Employee Leadership Development Series, which helped me strengthen my leadership skills and connect with colleagues across the University.
What is your favorite thing about working at Frostburg State University?
I really enjoy the mountainous setting and close-knit campus atmosphere. It’s a peaceful place to work, and it’s easy to build meaningful connections and friendships with colleagues.
Is there a faculty and/or staff member that you consider a mentor? If so, who and why?
I’ve been fortunate to have several people at work who I look to for advice and guidance. Each has offered valuable perspectives on different aspects of my professional and personal growth—whether it’s navigating challenges, developing new skills, or finding balance. Having access to different experiences and perspectives has been incredibly helpful, and I appreciate the support network I’ve been able to build.
What advice would you give to current students?
Get involved and make the most of every opportunity. Join clubs, connect with your professors, and don’t be afraid to step outside your comfort zone — that’s where you’ll grow the most.
What is a cause near and dear to your heart and why?
One cause that I look forward to contributing to every year is the PAWS Pantry. These last few years my department and I have donated food items for the annual Thanksgiving basket drive that supports local families.
What do you do for fun?
I love traveling with my friends and family—any chance I get to book a flight, I take it! One of our favorite destinations is Walt Disney World. Earlier this year, we took our 2-year-old daughter on her first trip there, and it was such a special experience watching her discover the same magic we enjoyed growing up with our parents.
