Welcome
Dear Prospective Physician Assistant Students,
Welcome, and thank you for your interest in the Frostburg State University (FSU) Physician Assistant Program! Choosing a path toward becoming a physician assistant (PA) is both an exciting and meaningful decision, and we are honored that you are considering beginning this journey with us.
At Frostburg State, our mission is to educate students to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care as part of interprofessional teams grounded in best practices. We take pride in preparing graduates who not only excel clinically, but also embody the values of inclusiveness, outstanding communication, patient advocacy, and a dedication to community improvement.
Our program places a special emphasis on serving rural and underserved populations in the Western Maryland region. As a student, you will gain the knowledge, skills, and experiences to make a meaningful difference in communities where access to care is most needed—while building the resilience and adaptability to succeed in any healthcare setting.
You will learn alongside talented faculty and clinicians who are passionate about mentoring future PAs. Additionally, student well-being and success is a priority to our faculty, staff, program, and institution. Beyond academics and clinical training, you will join a collaborative, supportive community that values service, diversity, and teamwork.
We invite you to explore our program and discover how Frostburg State can help you grow into a healthcare professional who not only provides excellent care but also champions advocacy efforts to promote healthful living practices for yourself, future colleagues, patients, and communities at-large.
We look forward to welcoming the next class of dedicated, compassionate, and driven students into our PA family.
Warmly,
