The Communication Leadership Lab is open to partnerships with any faculty, students or groups on or off campus. As a Lab Assistant, students volunteer or intern with the Communication Leadership Lab collaborating with faculty and partnering with various groups to plan events and other activities.

Communication Leadership Lab Assistant Internship
Job Title: Lab Assistant for the Communication Leadership Lab in the Department of Communication at Frostburg State University
Position Description: Excellent leadership opportunity for a motivated Strategic Communication, Leadership Studies, or Emerging Media students who want to learn and offer support to FSU's Communication Leadership Lab as an apprentice communication practitioner supporting campus and community dialogue and deliberation sessions and other communication leadership activities.
Qualifications:
- Ability to serve as a professional representative for our academic programs and the Communication Leadership Lab;
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
- Experienced with basic administrative tasks like taking notes, typing notes, filing, making copies, preparing mailings, distributing posters and flyers, completing basic reports, making appointments, and coordinating schedules and agendas;
- Proficiency and reliability in organizational electronic communications (email and listservs);
- Motivation and ability to draft or edit promotional materials or messages for distribution through various channels on and off campus, including formal journalism outlets and social media;
- Ability to take the lead on editing and distributing program and website materials;
- Willingness to assist with organizing program events and to set up platforms, equipment, and materials as needed to help organize program events and activities, including campus and community dialogue and deliberation events, recruiting events, etc.
Possible Hours: 8-10 hours per week during 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. business hours and evenings (for events), with 135 hours total required for the 3-credit Capstone; available in Fall and Spring semesters
