RN to BSN Nursing Program Home
Program Overview
Frostburg State University's Nursing Program has students enrolled from numerous counties across Maryland, Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia and Virginia who work at many different facilities in varying capacities. This has created an inspired learning environment for a diverse group of individuals.
Delivery Format
RN to BSN classes occur via an asynchronous study such as Discussion ‘Chat’ Board or through a synchronous ‘Virtual’ Classroom. While most of the program is online, there is a 135 practicum hour requirement that is completed in the student’s community. FSU offers multiple options for completing the practicum hours using both synchronous and asynchronous practices
Flexible Options for Students
We offer sample progression plans to follow to help students complete the program in a timely manner. Students can complete the RN to BSN program in as little as 15 months or take up to a maximum of 60 months for completion. If desired, in most semesters students can take as few as one class.
