Being part of a fraternity or sorority is for students committed to being held at a higher standard, which includes academics, community involvement, and upholding the Frostburg State University values throughout their daily activities.

Finding the right  chapter is a big decision. You should seek to find a chapter that you feel most comfortable interacting with its members and that fits the values and interests you seek in your journey.

To be eligible to join a fraternity and sorority, students must be full-time enrolled Frostburg State students and meet the following requirements:

  • First-year students must have a 2.7 high school transcript cumulative GPA.
  • Transfer students must have completed a minimum of 12 credit hours as a full-time student at FSU or another accredited college or university during the previous semester.
  • Current students must have a cumulative semester GPA of 2.5 or higher and 12 completed credit hours. Some organizations require higher than a 2.5 GPA.   
Exceptions to Minimum Grade Point Average
  • Phi Sigma Pi 3.0 cumulative grade point average
  • Delta Sigma Theta 2.8 cumulative grade point average
  • Zeta Phi Beta 2.7 cumulative grade point average
