International Students at FSU

If you are an international student looking for your next educational adventure, Frostburg State University (FSU) is a great choice. We offer more than 100 academic programs, so you will find courses that match your interests and support your studies at home.

Why FSU?

Frostburg is a safe, welcoming town in the mountains of Maryland. You will enjoy small-town life and still be close to big cities like Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Pittsburgh, and Philadelphia. On campus, there are cultural festivals, international events, and many activities. Our students are friendly and excited to meet you and learn about your culture.

Your Home Away from Home

International students with F1 or J1 visas will find support at the Center for International Education (CIE). We help with visas, immigration documents, class registration, and adjusting to life in the U.S. We want your time at Frostburg to be educational and enjoyable.

Find application details for international admissions here. You can also contact the CIE staff with questions.

“Choose a small town (like Frostburg) because you can make a lot of friends easily and quickly. You can know the real culture. When I went to New York and Chicago, it was not so different from Argentina, but here it’s so different.”

“The first year I had difficulty following my professors but I challenged myself to make some changes. I finally overcame all the difficulties and achieved an A in all of my classes and achieved a 4.0. I made me very happy.”
