Accounting Association

We connect and support individuals involved in the accounting field, whether they are accountants, educators, or researchers often through providing resources, conference opportunities, and networking platforms to help members advance in their careers. The association also aims to build connections between students, faculty, alumni, and industry professionals to help members succeed in their academic and professional journeys.

Active Minds
National charter that is dedicated to mental health education and advocacy for college adults. We host various seminars and events educating the public on mental health and providing fun/relaxing activities to get away from the stress of college.

African Student Association
ASA is an organization that seeks to spread African culture throughout the Frostburg Community as well as learn about other cultures while embracing them, for a more homogenous campus.

We are a nationally Certified Peer Education group through the BACCHUS Network and serve as Peer Educators by presenting several educational programs and awareness campaigns on-campus each year.

We have our global partnership with the Starkey Hearing foundation, and national partnerships with the American Society for Deaf Children and SeriousFun Children's Network. Our local philanthropies include the Allegany County Animal Shelter and the Dove Center.

Food Recovery Network Volunteer Service

Food Recovery Network fights food insecurity in the community by donating excess food from Lane University Center, Chesapeake Dining Hall, and catering FSU events to the Western Maryland Food Bank to be distributed to those in need.

Frostburg Association for the Education of Young Children - Maryland AEYC Chapter and Frostburg Student Education Association

Both groups will be combining in Fall of 2025. The purpose of this local chapter shall be charitable and educational and include, but not be limited to, serving and acting on behalf of the needs, rights and well-being of all young children in Maryland, and their families, with special emphasis on developmental and educational services and resources and fostering the growth and development of the membership in their work with, and on behalf of, young children in the local area of Frostburg. They will also focus on a collaborative group for all education majors.

Pre Professional Medical Society

An organization that has as its goal both education for its members and community service. Speakers from various medical fields come to speak and present about their professions, students who are FSU graduates speak about their experiences as medical/dental/veterinary/etc. students. We typically participate in fundraising for Relay For Life and fundraising for miscellaneous purposes. PPMS has collaborated with other organizations on and off of campus for the promotion of health. PPMS also participates in community service by sponsoring blood drives.

Psi Chi International Honor Society

International honor society whose purpose shall be to encourage, stimulate, and maintain excellence in scholarship of the individual members in all fields, particularly in psychology, and to advance the science of psychology.

Psychology Club

Represents the psychology department of Frostburg State. We have movie nights, mini-book clubs, play board games, and sometimes do outside activities! We often have guest speakers who hold talks on things like mental health, self-care, careers in psychology, and so much more! We take part in community service and volunteer opportunities as well. This club provides a space for students to meet and collaborate while discussing all thing psychology. When we can, we organize trips to the Eastern Psychological Association conference and other fun destinations. There is no minimum GPA or any other requirement.

Savage Mountain Stage Combat Club

Learn how to use: single sword, broadsword, knife, rapier and dagger, and sword and shield. Stage Combat Club sets members apart from other actors by offering Society of American Fight Directors adjudication in each weapon so upon graduation our members are not only trained, but certified.

The Bottom Line

The student-operated news organization of Frostburg State University. The journalistic intent of the organization is to report news and information that relates to the campus community with the highest possible caliber of writing in an effective and engaging manner. The Bottom Line seeks to create a forum for the exchange of comments and criticism from the FSU community, in a setting that provides students with the experiences, opportunities, and responsibilities intrinsic to a professional media group.

Strutters Dance Team

Promote school spirit, provide entertainment at the athletic events, and to represent the school and the community at community events. FSU Strutters also must maintain good standing with the university and contribute to the community through community service. Team members must have personal goals of high academic achievement, increasing their dance ability, learning effective time management, and forming strong friendships. The dancers must exhibit good sportsmanship, positive attitudes toward team members, competitors, schoolmates, the advisor and board of the team

United Campus Ministry

Built upon the foundational scripture Matthew 22:37-40 and is committed to community building amongst the campus and to the far reaches of the planet. This is accomplished through faith, fellowship and follow through in answering the call to be strong and courageous through loving each other boldly.

Visual Couture Runway Fashion

Provides students with an outlet and diverse way to express oneself through straight runway couture fashion. We take pride in modeling couture collections featured in New York Fashion Week, D.C Fashion Week and Baltimore Fashion Week. Several of our former models have become published runway and photography models. As a Visual Couture model, you could network with our designers and further your modeling career. For those who don’t plan on furthering a career in modeling, you could express couture fashion locally.
