Election Shuttle
The University will host a continuous Voter Shuttle from 8:00 A.M. - 8:00 P.M. to transport students to and from the polls. Pick-up and drop-off will be in front of Annapolis Hall.
Allegany County Transit has also adjusted their route on Election Day to provide transportation to the Mountain Ridge polling location from 9:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. (See schedule below).
Maryland Election Judges Needed!
Voting in America is every individual's right and civic duty. Election judges ensure this right and play a critical role in the democratic process. This is a unique opportunity for members of our University community to serve while supporting Maryland citizens.
Requirements:
- Age 16 or older
- Registered voter in Maryland
- Physically and mentally able to work a 15-hour day
- Willing to work outside your home precinct
- Able to sit and/or stand for extended periods
- Can speak, read, and write English
Responsibilities include:
- Setting up polling location and equipment
- Verifying voter qualifications
- Assisting voters
- Distributing ballots
- And more!
