Women's Health Frequently Asked Questions
Women's Health Services are available at the Student Health Center.
- Routine annual women’s exam. This includes
- Breast exam
- Pelvic exam and a Pap Smear (if over age 21)
- STD/STI testing if indicated
- Contraceptive Management
- Nexplanon Implant Insertion (available on site)
- Birth Control Pill (some pills available at health center or prescription can be written for student to take to pharmacy)
- Depo-Provera Injections (student needs to pick up at pharmacy and bring to health center for administration)
- Condoms
- Birth Control Patch (Prescription can be provided)
- NUVA Ring (Prescription can be provided)
- Emergency Contraceptive Pills
- Pregnancy testing and referrals
- Breast health assessment
- A clinical breast exam is performed during the routine annual exam. You can also schedule an appointment if you have a problem or concern.

- Evaluation and treatment for other common women’s health issues such as
- menstrual concerns (cramps, irregular bleeding, PMS)
- vaginal concerns (itching, odor, discharge, burning)
- urinary tract infections
- Sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing and treatment
- STI testing is offered at your annual exam, or you can schedule an appointment to be tested.
- Testing for STIs can include HIV, Syphilis, Chlamydia, Herpes and Gonorrhea.
- You and your provider together will decide how you will receive the results.
