Upward Bound Math/Science

The Upward Bound Math/Science program at Frostburg State University (FSU) is TRIO program funded by the US Department of Education.

The program's goal is to help students recognize and develop their potential to excel in math and science and encourage them to pursue postsecondary degrees in math and science and, ultimately, careers in the math and science profession. 

Upward Bound programs provide fundamental support to participants to succeed in their pre-college performance, preparation for college entrance, and, ultimately, in their higher education pursuits.

In order to meet our goal, UBMS provides students with many opportunities for growth, including:

• a challenging summer program with a focus on scientific research and
• an academic year program designed to provide academic support.
