WHAT IS BOBCAT EXPRESS?

BOBCAT EXPRESS is a program run by Frostburg State University that allows an alternative way to make purchases by students, faculty and staff. There is no charge for using BOBCAT EXPRESS. There is no minimum or maximum deposit or balance.

WHERE DO I GET A BOBCAT EXPRESS CARD?

Your ID card is your BOBCAT EXPRESS card.

WHY DO I NEED AN ID CARD?

Your ID card is the only card you will need here at Frostburg State University. It is your Library card, meal card, door access card for the residence halls, and your BOBCAT EXPRESS card.

WHY USE BOBCAT EXPRESS INSTEAD OF CREDIT CARD OR CASH?

BOBCAT EXPRESS uses your ID card with your photo. If you lose it, no one else can make purchases. If you lose the cash, it is gone.

WHAT DO I DO IF I LOSE MY CARD?

You should immediately report a lost card to any cashier or by phoning the BOBCAT EXPRESS office at x4196 during regular business hours and your card will be invalidated. Until the card is invalidated, any liabilities incurred are the responsibility of the cardholder. A replacement fee of $20.00 is charged for lost ID's. BOBCAT EXPRESS, cash, or checks can be used to pay for lost ID's in the BOBCAT EXPRESS Office. As soon as your new ID is made, the lost one becomes invalid.

HOW DO I PUT MONEY ON MY ID CARD?

You can put money in BOBCAT EXPRESS by using check or money order in person at the Bookstore or University & Student Billing Office in Pullen Hall. Mom or Dad can make deposits by calling University & Student Billing at 301.687.4321 or by going online using the Blackboard Transact portal.

ADD FUNDS TO YOUR BOBCAT EXPRESS ACCOUNT

WHAT IF I HAVE A BALANCE AT THE END OF A SEMESTER?

BOBCAT EXPRESS carries over from one semester to another. An account can be closed by spending the balance to zero or by requesting a refund of the balance. Refunds are made only for the full amount, by mail, to the home address and usually take 2-3 weeks. Cash withdrawals cannot be made. Cash cannot be given for returns purchased by funds from the Bobcat Express. However, credit will be made to the Bobcat Express for returned merchandise.

IF I LOSE MY CURRENT ID CARD, BUT FIND MY OLD ONE MAY I ACTIVATE IT FOR USE?

No, unfortunately due to door access the proximity cards, FSU is not allowed to re-activate old cards. If you have an old card please destroy it, we will not refund your money or reactivate it.
