FSU Athletic Training Clinic
Frostburg State University is proud to present a new state of the art Athletic Training Clinic. It originally opened in the fall of 2014 to provide quality health care to our student athletes. It also provides our Athletic Training students with an excellent hands-on learning environment for their clinical education. The Athletic Training Clinic features some of the most advanced therapy and rehabilitation equipment in athletic training, such as an underwater treadmill and a cold plunge pool. It also includes new therapeutic modalities and exercise equipment. To make sure that the new Athletic Training Clinic was all it could be, new treatment and taping tables were added.
Athletic training students are provided a comprehensive clinical education experience with FSU’s varsity athletic teams where they have the opportunity to refine their knowledge and skills in the many dimensions of athletic training. Athletic injury prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation techniques are practiced while being mentored by FSU’s licensed athletic trainers. Critical problem solving skills are developed by on-one-on scenarios with collegiate athletes and collaboration with the athletic training student’s preceptor.
