Welcome to the Center for Academic Advising & Retention (CAAR) at FSU! 

Our team is dedicated to supporting students through personalized, relationship‑centered advising that empowers every Bobcat to thrive academically and personally. 

At FSU, we offer a dual advising model (link) to support our students who are paired with both a CAAR University Advisor and a Faculty Mentor.  

University Advisors provide holistic support, building partnerships grounded in trust, communication, and an understanding of each student’s unique goals. We help students stay on track academically while also encouraging them to make the most of their college experience. 

Our home in 139 Pullen Hall is intentionally designed as a welcoming, inclusive space where students can connect, ask questions, and grow. From the GPS Peer Mentor Program to required advising appointments for course registration, CAAR offers intentional, meaningful services that help students navigate FSU with confidence.
