Collaborative Pathway for Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Dual Enrollment Pathway: Frostburg State University and Allegany College of Maryland
Program Overview:
The collaborative Bachelor of Science in Nursing is a full time, four-year nursing pathway that combines Frostburg State University’s (FSU) general education and RN-BSN program while dually enrolled with Allegany College of Maryland’s (ACM) associate degree nursing program. Students complete general education and pre-requisite courses during their first two years through Frostburg State University. After completion of pre-requisite courses students are eligible to apply for acceptance to Allegany College of Maryland’s associate degree nursing program. Once students are accepted to ACM nursing program, they become dually enrolled and complete pre-licensure didactic and clinical courses at ACM, while simultaneously completing online RN-BSN level courses at FSU. Students are eligible to sit for the RN NCLEX licensure exam upon successful completion of associate degree in nursing at ACM.
Delivery Format:
Students will complete coursework at both FSU and ACM campuses. A variety of coursework will be offered across traditional classroom and online, skill and simulation laboratories, as well as clinical rotations in a variety of settings.
Mentorship:
At FSU, we care deeply about your success. In order to support you throughout your degree, FSU has a nursing mentorship program. As part of this program, we offer job shadowing experiences, lunch and learns, tutoring, team building with your fellow classmates, living learning community, and support from a nursing faculty member throughout your degree. Many of our current students feel that these mentoring experiences have improved their success in their nursing program.

Frostburg State University RN-BSN program is fully accredited by Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). Allegany College of Maryland associate degree nursing program is fully accredited by Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing Inc. (ACEN).
Tuition and Cost»
University Billing

Scholarships
Frostburg State University offers a variety of institution and departmental scholarships. Students must complete the Institutional Scholarship Form, along with a one-page essay, and submit these materials to the Financial Aid Department by March 1st in order to be considered for these awards.
