What type of nursing programs are offered at Frostburg State University?
- FSU offers a RN to BSN Completion program for nurses who have graduated from a community college or diploma program in nursing and successfully completed the NCLEX exam for RN licensure. This program does NOT lead to licensure as a registered nurse.
- FSU offers a MSN program for nurses who have graduated from an accredited BSN program. We offer tracks in both Administration and Education.
How do I apply?
Students should complete an application for admission to Frostburg State University. The application may be submitted online with a $45 application fee. Students must submit official college transcripts for ALL previous college credit. Once the application and transcripts have been reviewed, an acceptance letter from Graduate Services Office will be sent to the student if they meet admission criteria.
How long is the program?
The program consists of 12 nursing-specific courses. The nursing courses are taught over four semesters (including a summer semester if a part time student) so the program can be completed in 24 months for full time students.
Will I ever need to come to campus?
The Nursing content is delivered online with synchronous 'virtual' classes scheduled for some courses to enhance understanding of the content. This means that you choose your classroom - whether it is your home, workplace, or the local library. It is never required that you come to campus, although we welcome you at any time.
