Talent Scholarships Available for Fall 2025

The Department of Theatre and Dance welcomes in-person and online auditions and interviews for artists wishing to join the Theatre major and/or Musical Theatre minor at Frostburg State University beginning Fall 2025. Talent Scholarships will be awarded through this process.

In-person auditions and interviews will take place in FSU’s prestigious Woodward D. Pealer Performing Arts Center. 

Join us on one of the following dates to connect with faculty and current students, tour our spaces, and present your audition/interview.

Register for an audition/interview

AUDITION/INTERVIEW DETAILS FOR INDIVIDUAL TRACKS

Please see the following details about each area of focus in Theatre and how auditions can be submitted and interviews can be requested. We can’t wait to see your work!

• Acting Track & Musical Theatre Minor Auditions
  
  • • Required submission: Resume and audition
    • Location:
      • In-Person: FSU Pealer Performing Arts Center
      • Online Submission, email: theatreanddance@frostburg.edu
    • Acting Track Audition Requirements:
      1. A monologue and sixteen bars of a Broadway song
         OR
      2. Two contrasting monologues
    • Candidates auditioning for the Musical Theatre minor AND Acting Track should perform Option #1.
    • If you are auditioning for the Musical Theatre minor, use a recorded accompaniment (CD or downloaded karaoke).

• Design & Technology Interviews
  
  • • Required submission: Resume and portfolio interview
    • Location:
      • In-Person: FSU Pealer Performing Arts Center
      • Online submission, email: theatreanddance@frostburg.edu and an interview will be scheduled with you.

• Theatrical Studies
  
  • • Required submission: Auditions/interviews are not required for this track, although you are welcome to join us for the audition or interview process to get to know us and meet with current students. Simply follow the criteria for either the Acting track or Design and Technology track.
