Talent Scholarships Available for Fall 2025

The Department of Theatre and Dance welcomes in-person and online auditions and interviews for artists wishing to join the Theatre major and/or Musical Theatre minor at Frostburg State University beginning Fall 2025. Talent Scholarships will be awarded through this process.

In-person auditions and interviews will take place in FSU’s prestigious Woodward D. Pealer Performing Arts Center.

AUDITION/INTERVIEW DETAILS FOR INDIVIDUAL TRACKS

Please see the following details about each area of focus in Theatre and how auditions can be submitted and interviews can be requested. We can’t wait to see your work!

  • Acting Track & Musical Theatre Minor Auditions
      • Required submission: Resume and audition
      • Location:
      • Acting Track Audition Requirements:
        1. A monologue and sixteen bars of a Broadway song
          OR
        2. Two contrasting monologues
      • Candidates auditioning for the Musical Theatre minor AND Acting Track should perform Option #1.
      • If you are auditioning for the Musical Theatre minor, use a recorded accompaniment (CD or downloaded karaoke).

  • Theatrical Studies
      • Required submission: Auditions/interviews are not required for this track, although you are welcome to join us for the audition or interview process to get to know us and meet with current students. Simply follow the criteria for either the Acting track or Design and Technology track.
