Mountain Maryland Theatre Festival

7th MOUNTAIN MARYLAND THEATRE FESTIVAL
Immersive Theatre Experience for Grades 6 – 12
The Department of Music, Theatre and Dance at Frostburg State University will host the 7th Mountain Maryland Theatre Festival on January 23rd & 24th, 2026 in FSU’s Woodward D. Pealer Performing Arts Center.
The 2026 MMTF weekend focuses on sailing the many C’s of theatre:
COLLABORATION ★ CREATIVITY ★ CONNECTION ★ COURAGE ★ COMMUNICATION ★ CONFIDENCE ★ COMPASSION ★ CURIOSITY
Workshop experiences in musical theatre, mindfulness, dance, and technical theatre will be presented by professionals in the field, including a keynote experience, awards ceremony, dance party, and continuation of the courageous artist showcase.
Adjudication
Attendees of the MMTF are welcome to participate in adjudication for professional feedback on acting performances or design/tech portfolios. If you are interested in participating in adjudication, review the attached form for guidelines. The Mountain Maryland Theatre Festival promotes and supports regional performing arts programs by creating development and networking opportunities for young artists and their teachers. The MMTF is open to kids in grades 6 – 12.
Cost
The cost of the festival is $50. In addition to tons of fun, the festival includes refreshments, lunch on Saturday, and a festival t-shirt. For information, please contact Nicole Mattis at theatreanddance@frostburg.edu.
