Transfer Student Spotlights
Elijah Garland
Elijah transferred to FSU from Ursinus College in Collegeville, PA in fall 2025 as an Accounting major. Prior to coming to FSU, he moved around a lot as a military child and did not really call one place home. He immediately got engaged on campus, joining The Crossing (a campus ministry group), United Campus Ministries (UCM), and Delta Sigma Pi (a professional business fraternity where he holds the positions of President and Vice President of Community Service). Elijah credits some amazing people on campus with helping him to become involved, including fellow student Ava Rankin, University Chaplain Elijah Ferebee from UCM, Pastor Joe Swaeikis and others from Mountain City Church and The Crossing. He now feels like Frostburg is home, and is blessed and grateful for this community.
