IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • Financial Aid Priority Deadline: March 1, 2021.
Students may apply afterwards and still receive Pell Grants, Federal Stafford Loans, and Parent/Graduate PLUS Loans.
  • FSU’s Online Scholarship Application is now available for 2021-2022. The deadline to apply for 2021-2022 institutional and departmental scholarships is March 1, 2021, at 11:59 pm.
  • IMPORTANT NEW INFORMATION:  If your income has recently changed due to unemployment, divorce, or any other unusual circumstances, you may be eligible for a change to your FAFSA that could increase your awards. Our 2021-2022 Special Condition Application can be found at https://www.frostburg.edu/admissions-and-cost/financial-aid/printable-forms.php Contact our office if you have questions or concerns.
  • Students attending FSU as international exchange students should visit the Center for International Education for information on financial aid.
  • All students and parent seeking a federal loan must complete the new Annual Student Loan Acknowledgement (ASLA) at least once every award year.  The ASLA is new for the 2021-2022 award year and must be completed before any student or parent loan funds can be disbursed.  By completing the ASLA, you are acknowledging that you understand that all loans must be repaid, as well as how much you currently owe in federal loans.  When completing the ASLA, you will be given data about FSU, such as cost, graduation rate, and average total debt borrowed per student based on each student's current program of study. You will also be provided with an estimated monthly loan payment, the amount of loans that you have borrowed so far, as well as program borrowing limits (lifetime aggregate loan limits).  You can complete the ASLA by going to https://studentaid.gov/asla/.
