Exhilarating Neo-Soul and Funk
Silky soul and gritty funk combine for a vivacious outdoor performance from Joslyn & The Sweet Compression, who deliver breathtaking energy with a hook-filled fusion of genres. Led by Joslyn Hampton, whose powerful voice and commanding stage presence have garnered comparisons to Whitney Houston, Chaka Khan and Aretha Franklin, this ace band of musicians has become a headlining favorite at clubs and festivals across the country.
The Levitt AMP Cumberland Music Series is supported in part by the Mortimer & Mimi Levitt Foundation, which partners with changemakers and nonprofits across the country to activate underused outdoor spaces through the power of free, live music — bringing people together, fostering belonging and invigorating community life.
The Levitt AMP Cumberland Music Series is supported by funding from Allegany County, City of Cumberland, Frostburg State University and Cumberland Arts and Entertainment District. This series is planned through the partnership of the Allegany Arts Council, CES at Frostburg State University, Loft 129, Canal Place Preservation and Development Authority and Allegany County, The Mountain Side of Maryland. Additional sponsors are listed on the Levitt AMP Cumberland event page.
