Event Budgeting
Determining your event budget is, perhaps, the most critical component of planning an event. This step allows you to determine what type of event is possible. Keep in mind, it is entirely possible to hold an event with zero cost!
For example, in the Lane University Center, there is no charge to utilize meeting rooms, including the setup of tables and chairs as well as laptops and the built-in sound systems in the meeting rooms. For the ARMAH and Atkinson Room, this includes two wireless microphones, although these microphones are suitable only for a guest speaker or audience Q&A and are NOT suitable for performance.
Knowing your budget will allow you to plan for the addition of items that will further enhance your events such as catering, concert sound system (for performances), and theatrical lighting.
For your convenience, we have created a sample event budget template (Excel .xls) that you can use when planning your event.
